With a zest for life (and things that go fast), it’s unlikely you’ve ever met a broker like Pete Dalton. Heavy on the gas is how he operates – be it creating marketing programs that are agent-centric, developing new technology that makes life easier for agents or providing world-class continuing education opportunities.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Dalton built the state's most innovative brokerage through strategic planning with an eye toward the future, always two or three steps ahead of the competition. Coldwell Banker Vanguard agents are accustomed to Dalton introducing exciting upgrades and additions throughout the year, including the market’s only Concierge Service department, multiple FAA-certified drone operators and proprietary software that streamlines the overwhelming paper trail agents must complete.

Many of Coldwell Banker Vanguard’s innovative programs grow out of conversations between Dalton and agents. If there’s a process or protocol that creates an issue or challenge, most often, the first question Dalton asks is “how can we fix that?” That’s exactly how our maintenance coordinator position was created. Agents participating in our Property Management program were increasingly frustrated with the incredible amount of repair requests and inspections required of them (and the subsequent paperwork), in addition to the traditional property management duties.

The easy response would have been to say “that’s just part of the job.” But that’s not good enough for Dalton. So, he built a maintenance coordinator position into the Property Management division, and hired someone solely devoted to handling the day-to-day repairs and inspections. Agents now have more time to identify and recruit customers, while providing home owners with an additional service that results in a better rental experience for all.

That’s the definition of a leader. That’s Pete Dalton.
